Bonaire, snorkeling

I still wonder at how we could spend 5 months in one place. It was the longest single location we have been since we have started living on 360°. Bonaire was a good place for us to spend hurricane season: safe, friendly, with the best shore diving in the Caribbean. Bonaire is a no anchoring zone, mooring only, which means that we had limited spots for 360°. There was one mooring we called home and at times would head out to a small island, Klein Bonaire, for a day excursion for snorkeling or diving.
It is hot in Bonaire, usually 88°F, windy in the summer and becomes calm through the fall months. Most of our days were spent doing something in the water to keep cool. Free diving, snorkeling, scuba.
We could drop in the water at our boat and see amazing sea life in very clear water, just snorkeling. We were amazed every day with what we saw underwater.

These beautiful squid hung around our mooring lines for a few days giving us the chance to see them up close.

Something Special is a dive site near the mooring field, one of the largest angelfish we saw hung out there.
