Bonaire Diving…what else?

Bonaire Diving…what else?

Bonaire calls itself the “shore diving capital of the world”, easy access to dive sites from both shore and water, beautiful reefs and abundant reef fish. We definitely took advantage of it, diving often by dingy from many of the dive moorings which are along the west coast of the main island and encircling Klein Bonaire. We practiced our tec diving skills through TDI Advanced Decompression and TDI Extended Range courses. With this training, we are certified down to 55 meters (180 feet) depth, 100% O2 and usage of 4 scuba tanks. Insane! It gets complicated down there with four regulators, three different gasses and decompression schedule to keep. We loved it, can’t wait to go back.

Our first training course which would take us down to 45 meters.

One dive skill to practice, buddy breathing….

Salt pier is a favorite dive just off the Cargill Salt Flats.

Dive down to 45M

The east side of Bonaire is a completely different dive. We went out with a dive outfitter for this one!
