Leaving Florida…for the Bahamas!

We spent a month sailing down the east coast from Chesapeake Bay to West Palm Beach FL. We stopped at Jekyll Island, GA and St Augustine, FL along the way. St Augustine was beautifully decorated for the holidays along the waterfront. To enter Bahamas, we needed negative PCR tests within 5 days of entry. The tests are taking 48+ hours to be returned so the timeline is a little tight considering weather windows. We left FL for Bahamas on Dec 15 and arrived at Great Harbor Berry Islands, Bahamas 26 hours later. Weather was good for that quick passage. Bahamas requires a second COVID test 5 days after arrival, and we just completed that test with negative results. We are now planning to spend a few months exploring Central and lower Bahamas.
